11 a.m. The festival kicked off with the official designation of Round Hill, VA, as an Appalachian Trail Community. Local dignitaries joined us as the Appalachian Trail Conservancy welcomed our town to the fold.
11:45 a.m. "Backpacking Lite," Chris Johnson, Mountain Trails
Noon. Live music: Gina Furtado Project
12:15 p.m. "Leave No Trace," Jessie Snaman, Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy
12:30 p.m. "The Secret Life of Insects," Lori Thomas
1:15 p.m. Celtic jam session
1:15 p.m. Thru-hiker panel, moderated by Kathryn Herndon-Powell, ATC
1:45 p.m. Live music: Justin Trawick and the Common Good
2:15 p.m. Guided hike: Edibles, Kathryn Herndon-Powell, ATC
2:30 p.m. Old-time music jam session
2:30 p.m. Trail BINGO!
2:45 p.m. "Hitting the Trail: Day Hiking 101," Jim Fetig, PATC
3:30 p.m. Live music: Short Hill Mountain Boys
4 p.m. "Health & Wellness on the Trail," Heather Sloan
4:15 p.m. Yoga for Hikers, Ashley Miller, Forever Yoga
